The menu at Mother Home Burmese Thai Halal Restaurant is a delightful exploration of traditional Burmese recipes infused with Thai flair. Signature dishes such as the Mohinga, a fragrant Burmese fish noodle soup, deliver complex layers of flavor with a comforting broth that’s both spicy and savory. Equally memorable is the Green Curry Chicken, bursting with fresh herbs and coconut milk, creating a rich, aromatic experience that lingers pleasantly on the palate. Another must-try is the Tea Leaf Salad, a unique Burmese specialty that combines fermented tea leaves, crunchy nuts, and fresh vegetables for a textural symphony that perfectly balances bitterness, acidity, and umami. Prices are reasonable, offering generous portions without compromising on quality, which makes this spot a favorite for locals seeking value alongside authenticity.
What makes Mother Home truly remarkable is its dedication to creating a holistic dining experience. “ One of the best Burmese Restaurant in Town. Their taste is good. Only issue is that its too small for the number of potential customers. Gets super busy over the weekend. No place to sit down. ”
“ One of the best places for Thai food that you must try The place is nice for large family. ALL halal menu Everything taste fresh Prices are very reasonable We were driving south and stopped to take a rest then found this hidden Halal gem They made our day ”
“ The food is incredible! I ordered the beef curry and it was amazing. It reminded me of a home cooked meal. I ordered extra to take it home with me, it was that good! We also ordered their Tom Yum soup, which was deliciously spicy and filled with shrimps. I will be coming back again for sure and highly recommend this place. ”
“ Had the pleasure of an epic meal here with my family over the weekend. The best fish and goat curries which fortuitously we got the last ones of each (2:30pm). The spice levels are not up for discussion if that is a concern then this is not the place for you, if you are looking for authentic Myanmar Burmese cuisine I doubt you will find better. Avocado boba and a tea leaf salad rounded out the curries and my sister got the ramen salad which was also delicious and had far less heat than the two cfurries. I respect their tea leaf salad prep but I would probably skip ordering it in the future and prefer to try something else instead. We will definitely return for Mohinga and samosa for breakfast. Portions were ample and everything was fresh. To be honest there is another dozen things I would order here based on how good our first meal was, truly a gem. Oh yeah ambience is non existent, this is where you come for excellent ethnic food, not to be fanned with banana leafs to live entertainment. ”
“ Everything we got was really good. Soup is spicy, beef curry more mild, I really liked the egg paratha sweet version. ”
“ Pretty good fried rice. Good meal size than the price. The menu has pictures of the food. They have a small bakery that looks a side hustle. They also have coffee. There's room for 40 people according to the sign. Probably not a lot halal Thai places in Fort Wayne. They also have coffee. I would go back it's a good place on South side of town. It has a parking lot next to the building. Close to luers ”
“ Delicious Burmese food, samosa, tea, beans, naan, dosa. They accept catering orders too. Biryani was oily. Other than that everything was very delicious. Samosa comes with red chatni, which is 100/10. Superb ”
“ We stopped here on our way from Lansing to Purdue. The food was so freaking good that we went back on our way home. We tried goat curry, beef curry, beef bone soup, basil rice with both beef and chicken, samosa, fried chicken, parata, naan, falooda, and tea. Each and every dish was super delicious! Specially the goat curry was just amazing! Unfortunately, we couldn't take pictures of everything. But this restaurant is a must try! The taste is authentic, and it feels very homely. I'd definitely try to visit again. ”
